Sciences Of Mind Practiner

Information

A Practitioner of Science of Mind (also called a Religious Science Practitioner) is a trained spiritual counselor in the tradition of Ernest Holmes, founder of the Religious Science and author of The Science of Mind.

Let’s define it clearly and practically.

1. What Is Science of Mind?

Science of Mind (also called Religious Science) is a New Thought philosophy teaching that:

  • There is One Infinite Mind / Spirit

  • Thought is creative

  • We live in a universe governed by spiritual law

  • Consciousness determines experience

It is a spiritual philosophy, not a medical science.

2. What Is a Practitioner?

A Practitioner is:

  • A licensed spiritual counselor

  • Specially trained in Spiritual Mind Treatment (scientific prayer)

  • Someone who helps others change conditions by changing consciousness

They are not clergy (unless also ordained ministers), and not psychologists — though they may offer spiritual counseling.

3. What Do They Actually Do?

They practice Spiritual Mind Treatment, which has 5 steps:

  1. Recognition – Acknowledge God / Infinite Mind

  2. Unification – Know your oneness with Spirit

  3. Realization – Declare the desired truth as already real

  4. Thanksgiving – Gratitude for completion

  5. Release – Let go and trust the Law

You already know this structure well from your Lois cosmiques and metaphysical treatment work — it is exactly the Holmes method.

4. What Is Their Role?

A Practitioner helps people with:

  • Health challenges

  • Financial blocks

  • Relationship issues

  • Fear, doubt, confusion

  • Spiritual growth

But the method is always the same:

Change consciousness → The condition changes.

They do not “fix” the problem — they treat the belief behind the problem.

5. Training & Licensing

Practitioners:

  • Study for several years in a Center for Spiritual Living

  • Practice written and spoken treatments

  • Learn metaphysics, consciousness, counseling ethics

  • Are licensed by organizations such as the Centers for Spiritual Living

7. In Simple Words

A Science of Mind Practitioner is:

Someone trained to hold the consciousness of Truth for you until you can hold it yourself.

They “know the Truth” on your behalf when you feel fear.
